Since its approval in 1997, the Community Investment Tax has generated $1.1 billion to fund a wide range of capital improvement improvements throughout Hillsborough County, including the cities of Tampa, Plant City and Temple Terrace. Projects include schools, government facilities, libraries, museums, parks, new fire trucks and police cars, reclaimed water, stormwater, transportation, water, wastewater, and community stadiums.
